HELLO, MY NAME IS DAI'DIEON!

I started Lynchburg Students RISE in 2020 after the George Floyd incident. I found that I had a lot of opinions but adults didn't want to hear them. I received a call from a close friends mother who expressed her concern and said that her daughter wanted to do something but didn't know what to do and she felt it wasn't safe. Thus began LSR, now LYHSR. I gathered a group of friends to help in hopes that we could form safe and inclusive spaces not only for ourselves but for others as well to able to express themselves without fear of being ridiculed. LYHSR has spent 2 years making a strong presence in E.C.Glass High School, Heritage High School, Dunbar Middle School, and Linkhorne Middle School by working closely with principals to address the needs of students. We pride ourselves in forming calm dialogues with everyone from all different walks of life. Consider joining us for an event!
